Dental prosthetics in Nova Gorica

Crowns, bridges, inlays and dentures — modern prosthetic solutions that restore chewing function and the aesthetics of your smile. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual patient.

What is dental prosthetics?

Dental prosthetics is the branch of dentistry that restores lost or damaged teeth with crowns, bridges, inlays or dentures. The goal is not only the aesthetic appearance, but above all maintaining chewing function, proper speech and protecting remaining teeth from overload.

In our practice we use modern materials (zirconia oxide ceramic, full E.max ceramic) and collaborate with experienced dental technicians, achieving beautiful, natural results and a longer service life of the restoration.

Types of prosthetic solutions

Dental crowns

Cover the entire tooth and are used when the tooth is severely damaged, root-canal treated or aesthetically compromised. Most often made of zirconia ceramic for natural appearance and lasting strength.

Dental bridges

Replace one or more missing teeth without the need for implants. The bridge rests on adjacent prepared teeth that support the prosthetic structure.

Inlay / onlay / overlay

When a tooth is too damaged for a classic filling, but sufficiently preserved that it does not need a full crown, inlays and onlays are the ideal solution. These are laboratory-made prosthetic restorations that perfectly fit your dental structure.

Dentures

Removable dentures (partial or complete) are suitable for replacing several missing teeth and surrounding tissues. We make classic dentures, partial dentures with attachments on bars, dentures on telescopes and on implants. Modern dentures are comfortable, light and aesthetically pleasing.

How the procedure works

  1. 1

    Clinical examination and consultation

We examine the condition of your teeth, perform necessary X-rays and discuss expectations and possible solutions with you.

  2. 2

    Treatment plan and price

We prepare a treatment proposal with the choice of material, timeline and a transparent price. No hidden costs.

  3. 3

    Tooth preparation and impression

We prepare the tooth appropriately and take an impression for the precise fabrication of the prosthetic restoration. While waiting for the final restoration you wear temporary crowns — provisionals.

  4. 4

    Cementation and follow-up

We cement the final prosthetic restoration, check the bite and provide care instructions. Regular check-ups follow.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to make a dental crown?

The procedure usually requires 2 to 3 visits spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart. At the first visit we prepare the tooth and take an impression, at the last visit we cement the crown.

How long does a dental crown last?

With proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups, a ceramic crown lasts on average 10 to 15 years, often longer. Zirconia crowns are even more durable.

Is the procedure painful?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so it is painless. Mild sensitivity may occur after the procedure, which usually passes quickly.
